Weeping Wants

The tears fell like rain from the sky
When I heard that you were the guy
That crashed into another car
You were taken to a place so very far.

I let out a scream of pain
days later watching the rain
I see you no longer walking by
No smiles or you saying hi

The funeral was sad, with us all
Teachers surrounded flooding the hall
Enemies and friends gathered around
Talking to each other in a mournful sound.

Life is so precious you sometimes overlook
until a page is ripped out of our book
We take for granted the things we seek
Until someone is gone, then we weep
