~~~Bare~~~

	The sky was beautifully bare today,
	no hovering angels with their pallid feathers,
	caught in heathery cob webs,
	fluttering against the blue, still.

	Below, jealous clovers attempt to stake claim,
	with a green commitment, swearing to steal the sun,
	to keep for themselves, unavailing.

	Unfettered, yellow spills of color, 
	dance about smiling flowers and
	all the while, a shadow lends the earth,
	a cool piece of shade.

	The sky was beautifully bare today,
	no hostile rumblings, no livid rains,
	no throwing it's cold diamonds at the earth,
	no destructions of manmade masterpieces,

	Only a lover; clear, blue, still.
	Leaning over hearts, beaten bare.
