A Dream

last night in dreams i was set free
wildflowers in my hair
laughter rained down from the stars
cascading everywhere
breathing magic in the air
pulled deep within
burning through the ties that bind
defying mortal sin;
drawing eyes up to the moon
enamored i did blush
kissed the moon full on the lips 
felt a tender rush
then the sea reached out 
to hold me for one night
cradled in those gentle waves
my mind was filled with light

when the sky called out my name
answering with a sigh
i turned my back upon the night 
hearing it 
			whisper
					  why ..............
