Moment in Time

We played like the heart of a child
Caught in pouring rain 
Dancing freely to rain gods
Lost in the splendor of the moment

Pure enjoyment of nature
Cleansing the toils of life
Beautifying all for the world 
Fragrances of freshness filled the air

When rains ceased, we were breathless
Amazed by our childish ways
Smiles reflected upon our faces
Laughter escaped our lips

Moistness glistened our skin
Our clothes contoured to our bodies
You hesitated but could not resist
Moving a stray hair from my face

Your hand gently caressed my cheek
Tipping my chin, you tenderly kiss my lips
I trembled from within
All thoughts escaped my mind

Consumed by this kiss, I was lost
Time stood still for a moment
