This I Believe


No longer can I hide
to the point of no return
you see I never left.

No longer can I hide
from the truth,
because... I am the truth.

Life is filled with ups and downs
for sure.
No longer can I hide
from the lies
that I tell me.

No longer can I hide,
not anymore.

I've been castawayed,
and taken advantaged of
at times.

No matter the hurt,
being alone or ...
just how I feel at times.
Truth spoken,
I am alive, I do count
and I do matter.

Life is mine to live
and I will live.
Life is mine to cherish
and I will cherish it.

I think I will smile at me,
I know I will smile back.

The courage is inside
and it will live too.
There is one aspect
that others forgot.

I am alive and I am me.
This I believe.
