The Road Already Traveled
(so long ago)
Just an old country road
and two lovers for life
so young, so alive
when they traveled that road
maybe twice the years gone by
Overgrown now with
memories
Overgrown now with
seedlings turned to trees
I knew not to turn
but go straight
What is that I hear?
"Just a frog in my throat,"
she said...
as we stepped out to
just look around
"I just remember how
we looked back then"...
No tears...just a frog
at least she hid the tears...
Seems just the simple things
in life mean the most when
we take.....
A road already traveled
so long ago...
