Loneliness

Loneliness is one pillow on a big empty bed.
Loneliness is no one to hear a word you said.
Loneliness is star gazing on a clear night.
But without someone to hold you tight.

Loneliness is needing someone to give your love to,
Someone to wipe the tears away when you're feeling blue.
Loneliness is not having someone to hold and caress.
Loneliness is not having someone to admire your dress.

Loneliness is a hunger way down deep inside;
That with each passing day grows harder to hide.
Loneliness is needing a hand you can hold.
It's needing someone to share a common goal.

Loneliness is waiting for a prince who will never come.
Loneliness is knowing you will never find your place in the sun.
Loneliness is being alone in a crowd.
Loneliness is looking for the sun, but finding a cloud.
