Imagine that all the world is good
not even an unkind word spoken

Imagine that people everywhere
cared for one another

Imagine the smiles that we all
would receive

You know I once dreamed of becoming
a poet, and I did

Now I imagine the world a much better place
to be, not from me, but from each and every
one of you

Imagine waking up and there is no sorrow
no more tears

Imagine waking up and there is no hunger
no more starvation

You know I once dreamed of becoming
part of a band and we played the pipes of peace

Now I imagine this happening, and through
you it will
