Please Come Home

As time advances and tragedies are stricken
I begin to hear a voice calling to me

Please come home.
My feelings of hate and vulgarity to me do sicken
As this voice proclaims in ever continuity

Please come home.
Kaffiyehs on the heads of the enemies
Seem to speak louder than the tongues below them
Cursing me!
Yet still I hear the beckoning me the voice

Please come home.
Our leader uses a Manichean mindset to soothe his people
This separation does comfort all but me
I know not where to turn
And the voice echoes once more

Please come home.
Congeries of emotions fill my soul
As I begin to look around me for answers
At first none,
But the voice does not leave

Please come home.
Then suddenly I see one, two, a dozen,
A nation on its knees with hands clasped together
And the voice like a gong not a meter away

Please come home.
Like no other epiphany on me before set
I realize they are praying
And I collapse from my feet
As if a finale the voice proclaims

Please come home.
My answer tis yes
And then
Silence.
