I Seek More

Where do I turn when life is amiss
When the snow has departed if come at all
Where do I turn to seek refuge within
When there is only one wood, not to diverge?
How can I grasp this solemn peace
In the midst of a storm within
Despising my own works and ashamed thus thereof.
I look beyond the weeping trees
And the singing fowl who stalk me.
Into my heart, my mind, my soul I look;
I find the sun, the moon, the Son, the Father
The only true Spirit of knowledge and truth
Reaching out and thrusting me toward His grace.
To accept less or yet remain the same
Is mere and utter sin!
I seek more for myself than this world can offer!
More than any season can offer!
I will only but let these wonders around me
Accent the blessings now laid upon my soul.
I am to enter a new season of life
With my Creator to weave a pattern more
Beautiful than the flowers and more peaceful
Than doves. I am to live, now, to live.
