Song Of Love
Open souls...Speaking minds
Sharing thoughts of any kind.
I had not ever met a soul so kind to my heart
I will hold this close
And it would not depart.
Your like the wind as it blows on my face
Leaving feelings of calm
Still with warmth in my heart
Able to sing this song.
When I look at the atrs so bright
I'll tink of you
While holding my dream in sight.
Beacuse you have given me the grandest piece of you
I would always call you friend
You took a little tear drop
And helped my heart to mind.
Take now this piece of heart I give
Always hold it in your grasp
Now you have become a part of me
And I know this woul;d always last.
So now I must thank you
For always having time
Thank you love for listening
And always being kind.
If ever you would need me
Do not ever think twice
You know I'd always be there
Do anything I could
You have shared your heart with me,
So...Be there I always would.

There Was Nothing I Could Do
I would always hear him beat her,
Hear her cries throughout the night,
I could never figure out the reason,
Why my parents had to fight,
One hit, two hit, three hit,
Why won't he just stop,
Why didn't I have the courage,
To get up and call the cops,
I would hear her cry out for help,
As he would hit her with his belt,
My poor mother was being tortured,
I can't imagine how that felt,
Twenty years have gone by,
And I still don't understand why,
My father found pleaseure,
In making my mother cry,
Brand new houses, brand new cars,
Could never take away the scars,
But mommy, I'm so sorry,
That there was nothing I could do,
No one will ever hurt you again,
And this I promise you!

Why?
Why did you decide to break my haert...
Why did you tear my world apart...
Why did you have to do me this way...
Why can't I find the words to say...
Why did things have to go wrong...
Why do I feel like we don't belong...
Now all I have are my memories of you...

Natures Voices
It's so quiet now that we can hear the clock ticking in the other room.
We just wait as the moments pass knowing that it's getting late and the night will be here soon.
We love to go outside in the early evenings and listen quietly as the crickets and frogs play their little tunes.
We try to hear them clear enough so we might recognize one of their songs, ass we gaze frozen staring at the moon.
There has been times when life has been to hectic that I have prayed for nothing but silence to fill the air, not thinking about the voices of Nature that wouldn't be here for us to share.
This is one of the many times that I thank God for my unanswered prayers.
He knew how much we love these sounds and knew they should be there.

As I Watch You sleep
Your voice echoes in my ear when you whisper good night.
I feel so safe laying next to you watching you sleep with only
The soft glow of the moons pale light.
I watch your chest rise and fall as you breath in the clean night air.
I wonder whta you're dreaming, hoping it's peaceful, as I softly
Touch your golden sun kissed hair.
God knew exactly what He was doing when He sent you to me.
He knew that we needed each other and that we needed to be in
Love with each other so desperately/
Every night before I fall asleep I say my prayers and then I say
An extra one especially for you.
I tell God how thankful I am that He paved the way for us to be
Together and then, I asked Him to watch over you and keep you
Safe in everyhting you do.
Morning comes way too soon so I guess I'd better give you one
Last kiss goodnight.
I love you my darlin' and I'm looking forward to a lifetime with
You, our dreams, watching you sleep, loving you, and the moons
Pale light.

Just One Cut
A cut, blood, pain
Why did you do it?
Why did you want to die?
Didn't you think you'd make it through it
We'd do it, you and I
It was just one cut
One wrist, one time
You told me it wouldn't happen again
You told me everything was fine
But how could I believe you
And what am I supposed to say
What am I supposed to do
It's serious this time
And how do I know
That one day you won't do it
That one day you won't go
Our friendship means so much
It's everthing to me
And I can't watch you hurt yourself
That's not how it can be
What can I do?
How can I change this?
What have I caused?
What did I miss?
A cut, blood, pain
A friendship that is stained
A lide that may have been taken
A trust that has been shaken
A new fear plagues my mind
And it's the reason that made

It started to happen...
From the very start...
I knew one day...

Don't Give Up
Sometimes when things seem so bad and life itself makes us sad
There's something hidden in a special place
That brings a smile to our face
There's hidden strength you never knew
And you'll find it inside of you
God won't give what we can't take
Or hard decisions we can't make
Ask Him for the wisdom to lead you on your way
And pray to Him and thank Him every single day
Somethings may last only a while
Some may last forever
Tomorrow will come and today will go
But He will leave us never
Find the courage, find the strength
And follow all your dreams
Don't give up, never quit
As hard as it may seem
I think that you are more than you
Can ever see
You are special in your own way,
Especially to me.

My First Poem
There is a boy I have known since I was two.
It has been love ever since always and forever
I will love him and care for him the rest of our life.
He is sweet and funny, you would think so too if you were to meet him.
He fills the room with laughter when he walks in.
He leaves the room full of his sweetness and caring and love.
I will love him always and forever.

Love As A Tool
All of a sudden I look and wings seem broken
I was so sure of their ability to carry me away
But here I am flapping and they're not lifting
Here I am finally trying and can't seem to get flying
Oh how I cry for the youth I spent tucking
My wings behind my back to shy to let them show
Now I yearn for those times when my wings were newer
Now I want so badly to just let my wings unfurl
Oh have I spent my energy chasing futile things
Am I doomed, do I lack the zing to try my wings
I feel robbed and cheated, maybe even broken and mugged
I have nothing now, I look around at opportunity wasted
Opportunity visits others now, I see him at their houses
Time a long time friend of mine, now looks kindly at strangers
Hope hasn't left me yet, but his company is a mixed blessing
Despiration has moved in just a few houses away and is due at any time
I haven't given up, my wings I try desperately to mend
But I've found it's harder, so much harder to begin
Life's never been that good to me, perhaps I thought it owed me one
But fairness and life are strangers so my expectations came undone

I can hear the angels singing,
Sweey harmony fills the skies,
A precious one has arrived.
Tears flow with sadness,
Hearts filled with love,
A precious one has departed.
Open arms awaiting,
Warm embraces shared,
A precious one has arrived.
Sharing of memories,
Smiles shine on faces,
A precious one has departed.
Eyes behold the wonders,
Shown the glory of heaven,
A precious one has arrived.
A fond farewell is given,
Hearts are on the mend,
A precious one has departed.
A place is set up above,
Comfort is in abundance,
A precious one has arrived.
Hearts receive a gift,
Love left to us by one,
A precious one has departed.
Wings outspread,
A heart aglow,
A precious one has arrived.
Tears of happiness find their way,
Gentle calming soon to be found,
A precious one has arrived!

A Special Friendship
Our friendship is special, as it touches a place in my heart where few have traveled.
A place where the sun shines and flowers grow. Where butterflies roam in abundance, and where the birds are singing with joy.
Our friendship is special, as you have been allowed into this special place.
You may feel the warmth of the sun, smeel the flowers. Be among the butterflies as they gently float past you. The songs of the birds will touch your heart, as they whisper in your ear.
Our friend ship is specail, as you took the time to travel this road.
You explored on the way to take in the view. Through the bumpy roads to the hills, to the peaceful lakes and wild flowers; you traveled with determination.
Our friendship is special, as it touches a place where few have traveled. It touches a place in my heart. A place which is open to love, open to share it's glories.
You have been invited into this place. Take care of all of its glories, for they too are yours to enjoy.

but you're so close that it scares me
and we're not perfect
but we're so captivated by each other
that it doesn't even phase me

and protective of me

I can't imagine not having you
I don't know how to let you go
because I'm scared that without

who makes me smile and laugh
and looks at me in that mesmerizing way

Times Winter
Flowing gently on the waters of time,
life unfolds and follows the sign,
laid before it in a continuous line.
Birth blossoms into a conscious being,
passing through effortlessly seeing
our hopes, our desires, our loves fleeing.
Beofre us stretches our mortal road
to relize those dreams becomes our goal
sensing, and feeling, and freeing our soul.
Emotion filled we pursue elusive fate,
our hearts bruised by callousness and hate
optimistically we endeavor to create
We were not meant to trod paths alone,
by design we sought to share our home
our lives entwined with another grown
Always seeking life's partner to share
precious moments so fleeting there
walking one day, one knows not where
That place in time when it will all disapppear,
when we looked back wistfully on days we dared
to risk all that love and caring endeared
The final road rises up before us,
We lived, we loved, noww leave, we must
for the days, the hours, the minutes become dust
Yet in our hearts and in our souls
We know we did our best to be whole
To celebrate life's design to be told
And when the line draws to a close,
when life folds back on quiet repose
together our spirits in times winter flows,
our story to be told to all who follow

We can sit upon the moon
And gaze out at the stars
We can watch the whole world from up here
As if it were ours.
So close your eyes and come to me
Your stargazer just asked
Let's build our love in this dream
Where it would always last.
