The following poem is
written about our daughter we lost when I was 21 weeks pregnant.
The loss of her inspired me to build this website.
I am extremly proud that Marilyn Dixon Pfanstiel, site owner of Emerging Courageous, has given me the honor of publishing this poem in her book "Women Emerging Courageous." Thank you for such a great honor!! I hope you will take time to visit her website..perhaps you can submit a poem and be in her next book.

Sometimes things happen,
That no one can explain.
I try to understand why,
But all I feel is the pain.
I carried you for twenty-one weeks,
I felt you move inside of me.
I seen you on the ultrasound.
Your tiny little body,
Your heart beating away.
And even though I knew
I was going to lose you,
It still made me smile you see.
For you were then and are now
Always a part of me.
I held you in my arms,
Never wanting to let go,
Touching your little fingers and toes.
Looking at your eyes,
Wishing you could see me.
Thinking how great that would be.
I kissed you on your forehead,
My precious little girl.
I told you that I loved you,
For to just hold you was still a thrill.
For the love that I feel inside,
Will never go away.
I wish you were here with me today,
To share the love I feel.
And even though I will always love you,
The pain inside is unreal.
For the memories of you will never go.
It hurts me each and everyday,
That you are not here.
The pain will never go away.
For you are my life, love, and soul.
I will always love you,
My sweet Sienna Nicole.
