Terror of Sept. 11, 2001
I cannot fathom being one so close to what took place
my heart hurts thru and thru, with each and every
tear-filled face.
I can't imagine what is going thru the minds of others
however, I believe this *act* will bring us close
together.
Holes have been inserted in our daily consciousness
we've witnessed life and death, as every scene is shown to
us.
They cannot take away our pride; our faith we'll
stay united
I do believe our inner strength has truly been
ignited.

Change
It is said *nothing's absolute, but change*
including our lives being rearranged.
Our lives have *united*, by things uninvited
it's different, and somehow feels strange.
Not long ago our Country stood parted
something called Nam unavoidably started.
Not *war* they told us...somewhat of a plus
yet some were against it, wholehearted!
Most say it's a pity it takes tragedy.
I say the same, tho I think differently.
Yes, I'm taken aback by horrendous acts,
yet I'm proud to see unity!
I'm proud to be an American!

I would like to believe that with each passing day,
we
will find ourselves feeling the need to be *not
alone*
With each simple smile and nod to strangers we pass
...
with each hug we exchange with those who we know
...
with each tear we share while we express our
feelings ...
we WILL become better
people.
Our *worth* has come to the surface, and I would like
to
believe we will stay in this frame of mind.
