This book is about love and life�s blessings and tragedies. I find that I can express myself so much better with my poetry then I can with speaking. Writing helps me to express my anger, happiness, sorrow or just humor. This is the one thing nobody can take from me. But I can share with others, and know I am putting a smile on somebody�s heart, or reaching somebody who has been where I have been, or even a Mother that may have lost her children�.Writing eases the aching in my heart. It helps me to relieve and express my emotions and desires.
For many years I stopped writing, somebody once told me I didn�t have what it takes. 20 years later, I finally decided to let go of the past, and to do what makes me happy, and that would be writing. I hope that through my words, others can find comfort and happiness. Everything I write, I have been through in my life. Instead of dwelling on it, I turned it around and put it into beautiful words poetry and songs. I pray that all who read this book will find comfort and answers to maybe some of there own tragedies.
Finishing this book has given me such a feeling of pride, satisfaction and accomplishment. I even wrote a few songs that maybe one day will be heard over the radio.
My Dedication of my book �Makings of a poet�, is dedicated to my husband. This poor man has seen me go through it all. Yet he never gave up on me, when I would fall he would be right there to help me up, if I was lost, he take me and show me the way, if I was scared, he would hold me and reassure me that everything would be ok. He is not only my Husband, but also my Best Friend. Here�s to you Joey, for all you have done for me��. I Love you�.I am also dedicating this book to my 3 children Christina, Bobby and Denai and my parents Angel and Marta, for all there love, and the love they have put in my heart. They taught me that it is possible to love someone unconditionally.
