Star Alone
7/25/02
The wind blows softly, kissing my skin The mysterious night sky pushes through the clouds, a field of deepest blue A single star sits alone, shining with all its might, Making up for all her brothers and sisters the clouds decided to hide This lonely star glows with a steadfast ambition to keep its luster throughout the night- taking place of the lazy moon, whom decided it best not to show up tonight- Resting from his tiring routine of waxing and waning So- this single star takes over tonight, glowing steadily- leading us to morning
Notes: I was outside one night and noticed the night sky. It was swirled with clouds, and I looked and looked, but I could only find one star in the whole sky. Right when I saw it, I personified it...and because I have an crazy-vivid imagination, I dreamed up a story around it.
