~*~ Twilight Wishes ~*~

Orb, who withstood millennium time
Older than these wings of mine,
Reflection of stars, yet so much more
Together we guard patterns of constellations
Set free new births in stellar light
Rest old souls burnt out
Yet, never forgotten in our eternity
We hold each other in cosmic dance
Grant wishes that reflect on your face
Each eve at twilight
Orb, you place my angelic heart upon my hand
That it may, as moments blink,
Be given to lovers or young children
Those who believe in lost causes
Ones who know nothing is gone forever
Spinsters who lay on faded satin
Old men like Paul
With emptiness of stomach and dwindling hope
He folds around his newspaper quilt
On his park-bench bed
So numerous the calls
I gaze dizzy upon your golden eye
'Til my tears fall as fireflies
Tiny stars of hope, as they dance
"Keep wishing and believe."
Each night ~ each moment
Images must fade 'til there be but one
This night ~ this moment be Paul's
At sunrise your daughter comes
