My Beloved Shadow


I am a being of Light
My enLightenment is out in the open
For all to see and who wish to
To those who do not, my Light appears as light
I am by God's will, the consort of a shadow
A sometimes difficult relationship indeed
He rarely comes in my world
For he feels his identity gone and disappears
With his heart and soul exposed
He puts back on his cloak and recesses to familiar realms
It is I who must travel to him, that we may exist together
Impossible you say?
True in my full Light, or even in light
For he will just run off and hide
But I can conceal my enLightenment deep inside a soft velvet cloak
He'll let me enter then
For gentle is his touch of comfort
As I immerse myself in his protection
Some call night, some call it Po
The start of a new day, yet to manifest at dawn
There with my mate in his realms
I can merge 'til we are one
'Til I sense and know things I can never see in my realms of light
I merge with him and he with me
'Til we realize
We both are concealing a Light within
We are One
