COME, WALK WITH ME THROUGH THE YEARS, MOM |
I remember the walk We took in our younger days. Our strides were strong In the sun's bright rays. |
There was a time When each walked alone, When tempers and emotions Were much too strong. |
We walked again together In friendship and love, And the sun shone again From high above.
Our steps are slower now With illness and pain, We understood over the years Just how much we've gained. |
One day I will Walk alone again For you will leave Down that heavenly lane. |
But before that time Will come to pass, I will share the slow walks And love you as they last. |
