The Hourglass
Smooth curves of dry land
Bright sparkling pools raging wild forest
the seal of honesty
Towering mountain majesties
& the hourglass turning turning turning
Stop the sands but continue the motion
Halt all Time!
Exposure
All living things avert their eyes
as he becomes unraveled
Disgrace to decency
Nature has run out of mercy
Attention!
the windows to the soul are left human
Peace in a War Torn Land
Dry & cracked the soil proclaims--
"Rid me from humanity"
She's a testy one
No water running, no sun shining
The land, completely barren
But in the lifeless dreary haze
A dove flits thru the quietude
& lands on a rock
It remains only for a moment
before flying off to places much better
Coma
Quietness & darkness
I think I once was
Seeing & remembering
No more
Can't remember the crash
Can't remember the faces
They were so concerned
you cast them aside
All that is there is the overwhelming feeling
It is that of loneliness & isolation & solitude
The strong fortress that will seemingly never crumble
What is happening to me?
One in a Million
A personal apocalypse
Moment of revelation
Growing path of destruction
Take refuge in the dugout
& time loses its grip
Wake up the drum of life is beating
no sound is being made
I see the nurses in light green garbs
Feeling of detachment
Feeling out of place
Feeling linen bandages wrapped 'round my body
Blood squeezes out of the soul
Could not escape the suffering
Suddenly the river swallows my body
The current dragging me along
Difficult to struggle
& fight
Going under
Brilliant pain erupts in my skull
Bashing its way out
firecrackers
dynamite
blow me into reality
Out of the drowning dream.
Arms and legs are weightless
Start to move them
Restore the feeling
There's nothing to move
Gutted of my empire
My ring
My toes
No longer to run
No longer to hug
No longer to work
No longer to be
Deaf invalid stump
Fear hits like a wave
Start to scream from terror
Wake myself from everything
There's nothing to scream with
No nose to smell with
No eyes to see with
No longer to live
Back in the womb I'm here to stay
I'm one in a million
I must live I must die
I must be dreaming
