The World in Conflict By Ryan Shells crashing, men dashing. The war has come, boys would never see their mum. Men left dying or dead, the lucky few got a hospital bed. Countries turned into wasteland, no one to turn to for a helping hand. Millions of lives ruined or lost no one expected this great cost. Now we look back, at the knowledge they did lak, and wonder why? Why so many had to die? Alliances and empires, everywhere a rifle fires. In four years an entire generation lost, millions of men suffering from exhaust. Measures were taken to prevent this, that more men would die by an iron fist. But leaders who were incompetent and weak, led to battlefields that began to reek, of the stench of tens of thousands of dead and millions of citizens who could not be fed. Armies of millions of men, would be reborn again. For a conflict engulfed the world, and dictators' plans would be unfurled. For most would be conquered by an empire, who would set people's hears and towns afire. This conflict was even worse than the first, and the blood flowed by far the worst. Two World Wars happened within 30 years, and opened our eyes to our worst fears. Over 60 million people lay dead, as dashing generals had them led to their death, entrenched and embattled. Everyone's souls had been severley rattled.
