| Being poor is not so bad, Having things could make me sad. A big house to clean and dust, Maybe servants I cannot trust. A car to shine and insure, A big lawn to mow and "manure". A boat to keep neat and trim, Stocks and bonds might make me elate, A vegetable garden would seal my fate. Not too much to satisfy me. Perhaps a porch, a swing, and a maple tree. |
