Art of Life
Dear friend of mine, please realize
each moment of the day,
you are an artist in God's eyes;
a canvas you display.
The themes and colors that you choose
are mostly up to you.
The techniques and the styles you use
do make a difference too.
You live through days with paints all dry,
or paints smeared up together.
At times you feel in vain you try
to finish your endeavor.
However, do take comfort in
the fact you have a master
who knows your feelings deep within
and saves you from disaster.
The mess you make while in a rush,
the splatters of the paints,
He fixes with His mighty brush
as if creating Saints.
It may not be a masterpiece
in other people's eyes.
Yet in our Father's halls will cease
all of our mortal ties.
