I Lost You
Date of Submission: November 24, 2003
Sometimes I stop to think what my life would be without you Not having you here to say I love you too But now everything I said has all come true I lost you I never thought I would lose the one who gave me life The one who would give her life to me as a sacrifice I know I did you wrong for so long And you always said you don't know what you have until it's gone I should have listened to what you said Sometimes I wish I were dead But then I realize the devil's messing with my head If I could give you my life I would So you can live happy just like you should We had no dad to take a stand But you raised us the best you can Now I'm sitting here as a man not a boy There's no more having a favorite toy I get on my knees and pray for us to be together again For all our sins to be forgiven times ten I remember the good times we had And the whoopings we got when we were bad And I remember you putting us on the bus But most of all I remember you loving us
