Richard's Poetry for Dawn
MY FEELINGS CONVEYED

I found you online among a few;
I felt compeled to write a love so true.
I transcend my feelings across the electronic wave;
to one who will love me...a southern babe.
Oh, mama, I cannot stop writing my words;
I see rainbows and migrations of lovely bluebirds.
So happy are we that tomorrow will bring;
A whole new family as fresh as Spring.
We are trapped miles apart in this cruel, cruel world;
but love flows strong, giving our hearts a whirl.
I dream each day our love will grow;
remembering what we reap is what we sow.
I sit here passing the moment away;
wondering if you would only say,
"Yes," to a question long enduring the ages,
to marry me before my broken heart rages.
Your essence has crossed the barriers of time,
giving me hope to love you so divine;
leaving with me your emmaculant love;
for now, I dream of you my loving dove.
MY LOVE

Not a day ever goes by
That you're not on my mind.
I feel you in a far away place
Longing to hold you with my warm embrace.
Never before has love touched me so,
Like your heart through my soul it flows.
Torn between the friend and the lover;
What shall I do with the love I discovered?
I help you along as a friend should do;
But the lover in me must remain misty blue.
I know our love is honest and true;
But, I must choose between the two.
A true friend I am and shall forever be;
But the lover in me must stand by and see.
I wish it could be that you were free,
For the lover in me to finally love thee.

PASSION OF LOVE

You wept and I cried, "I love you,"
And seized you in my arms.
I kissed you with hot, steamy breath,
Drying swollen tears upon your fiery cheeks.
While my flaming eyes burned into yours,
You withdrew from my arms and wept even more.
The I knelt before you,
Gazing silently into your face,
Wish wide and wistful eyes;
But still outside I held myself,
As in fear of violating a sacred presence high.
And as you wept, I mingled my tears with yours,
Cleansing our souls like dew a dusty garden,
Until you smiled, reached out your hand, and touched mine.

OUT OF DEATH

A woman of my desire
has taken my heart;
fueling the lonely fires
from its coffin laden cart.
She gives it life, a strength to be;
I feed on love so tender as she.
I met her in death only yesterday;
we now swim the mighty currents of ecstasy.
We look back no more
at death's deadly embrace;
we slam the door
in the devil's red face.
We journey forward on a road so true,
never again do we carry the blues.
Forgetting not the strength of dust;
out of death...love conquers us.
Two hearts dwelled in happiness and love,
only to find death as one migrates
like a bird upon the winter breeze.
No more your love you offer
The call home stronger then my love could hold you.
