A Strange Darkness (Ôdbhut Āndhār Єk Eshєchє Є
Prithibite Āj) Translated
by Marian Maddern A strange darkness has now come into the
world. Those who are blind, today see best of all; those in whose hearts is no love, warmth, nor
stir of pity— the world cannot move
without their counsel. Those who still have faith in mankind, those to whom, even now, order and art, truth, or endeavour,
seem not unnatural— jackals and vultures prey on
their hearts.
