| "You collasped. You're confined to your bed." Noin replied. When it looked like she was going to argue, Noin added. "Doctors orders." "The doctors said, 'You haven't been eating or sleeping." Zechs said looking directly at her. "I'm fine." "Yeah, fine." Zechs, still looking at her sid, "I know you're not going to like this but, I heard you in your sleep last night. How can you be a world leader when you can't even lead yourself? Heero has left you. He's gotten on with his life why can't you get on with yours?" "I have." "No, hyyou haven't. How can you be expected to lead the world and you're a mess." Zechs looked at Noin and said, "Noin, I want you to start setting up Relena's calendar. Make sure she has a meeting only once or twice a week. Start finding dates for her." Then he faced Relena and said, "Its time you got yourself up and did something for you and not for everyone else. You'll go on these dates whether you like it or not." After saying that Zechs left the room. Noin looked at Relena and noticed there was no reaction. None. No kind of emotion flickered across her face after Zechs gave orders. Are you alright now Relena?" "Yes. I keep telling you I'm fine." she said crossly. Zechs came back with a platter full of food and told Relena he wasn't moving until she ate. When he was satisfied that Relena ate, he left. Noin followed him. Once they closed the door Relena rushed to he bathroom and vomited up her food and flushed it down the toilet. That night while Relena was sleep, Heero snuck into her room. He heard what hahppened to her.He was by the window away from roaming guards and lasers and when he looked at her from his positioin on the far side of the room. She looked fine to him. Then he walked closer to her and shied a dim light in her face and saw her face without make-up. Relena... He believed she was the most beautiful person he'd ever laid eyes on. Now she have rings so dark under her eyes it looked like someone gave hera coupleof black eyes. He also noticed she ost a lot of weight. What was wrong with her? It looked like she was slowly disintegrating form the inside out. Didn't anyone notice the dramatic changes in her? As he started to leave he heard his name. He looked and saw Relena was stil asleep. He stayed until dawn listening to her dreams. Then he left, wondering what he was going to o about her. Heero was only gone for a few minutes,when Relena woke up and started putting on make-up and slipped back into bed. She laid down carefully making sure no make-up came off her and onto the sheets. She knew Noin and Zechs were coming sson. They moved in. Now they always try and catch her while she was asleep. Four months and fifteen days later. Relnea went to sleep and started dreaming. | Heero and Relena were dancing at her school. He was saying he was going to kill her. That was alright with her she told him becasue she didn't want to die without knowing what was going on. Now that she did, she was on his side. The dream continued... Relena found herself once more in Heero's arms. They were on the Peacemillion. For a while they didn't speak then helooked into her eyes as if he was going to kiss her then the dream faded as he whispered, "Trust me..." Dreaming ends. "Heero, I don't know what you are talking about. I know she lost weight, but I've been in the room when she ate. It'll take sometime for her to gain the weight back. Each time I go into her room no matter what time, I never see any of these dard rings you're talking about that are around her eyes." Zechs said down the hall from Relena's room. "I don't know what she does but, I know she's very sick. She's not the same person she was when I left." "Heero, she dreams about the war." Noin said standing next to Zechs. "I know." he said with an pensive expression. "I don't know why the fact that you know surprises me." says Noin. Then she walked off towards Relena's room, to leave the two men alone to talk. "Heero, I think you're just overreacting. Even her dates say she eats when she's with them." "Dates?" Heero asked with his left eyebrow arched. Zech frowned and said fjirmly, "Yeah, dates. I have to make her or she wouldn't go. I'm trying to get her mind off of you." Before Heero could respond, Noin scream brought had them rushing to Relena's room. They rushed into the room and asked, "What's wrong?" Noin was crying hystarically. Zechs couldn't make out what she was saying. Noin just pointed to Relena's bed. Heero rushed to the bed and looked at Relena. He said ot himself. 'No, she couldn't be. She couldn't have left me.' Then he felt her pulse. He glared at Zechs and said, "She's barely alive. She needs to go to the hospital." Zechs was stunend. He kept staring at Relena as if he never seen her before. When Heero opened Relena's bedroom door with Relena in his arms that motion seemed to jump start Zechs. Zechs said trying to hold on to Noin and said in astonishment at the same, "This is the first time we ever saw her like this. She... I mean we never saw her ever.... She never been in this condition. We never even saw the signs." Heero remembering their recent conversation just shook his head and kept going. Once they arrived at the hospital, Relena's doctor took her from Heero. (Which mean they had to pry her from his hands.) It was an hour before the doctor came back. He said with a grim expression, "Relena as slipped into a coma she has tubes and an I V in her. One is to keep her fed and the other is for fluids. Now, what I want to know is why did you wait until she was in this condition to bring her to the hospital?" Heero looked at Zechs and waited for the explanation. |
