| "Why is that?" "Every time she heard his name she froze, as if eating up any information on him. I talked to her and suggested she go and see a psychiatrist. She went. When she came back, she was different. She wasn't the same. It was almost as if someone reached in and yanked something within her out. She refuses to discuss it." "Does she date?" "Where would she find the time? She has three more meetings after this one and five meetings tomorrow." "I've never thought about what it would be like to be World Nation Representative." Noin paused then asked, "But she's not injured?" "No, you'll see what I mean. This meeting should last only an hour or so." "Alright, I'll wait." Noin thought. I'm going to wait; maybe it's not as bad as the butler says it is. He might be exaggerating. I know how much Relena means to him, she's like a daughter to him. Two hours later, Relnea walked out of the meeting and saw Noin and frowned a little. "Hello Mrs. Peacecraft. How are you and Milyardo?" "Fine. How are you Ms. World Nation?" "Fine. I have another meeting so I can't stop and talk to you right now." "That's alright." Looking at Relena, Noin noticed that Relena as lost a lot of weight. Studing her face Noin said before Relena could take one step. ";I just dropped by to see how you were. Have you seen Heero?" At the mention of Heero's name all expression left Relena's face. She stood ridged and said, "I wouldn't know about him or any of the other Gundam Pilots. I'm sorry Noin, I do have a place to catch." Without another word or backwords glance Relena was rushing down the corridor. Noin heard her call her butler for her plane tickets to the next colony. Noin was reasonable sure the butler was overreacting, but to turned and called her husband, Milyardo 'Zech Marquise' Peacecraft, just in case. "Zechs, I think we should sleep in the palace with Relena tonight." "What? She's alright isn't she?" He asked, then said with a small laugh evident in his tone. "I mean with Heero watching her, how could it be otherwise?" "Heero's not watching her." Noin said, her voice void of all amusement. There was a long pause on the other line then he asked gently, cautiously, "How's Relena?" "As far as I can tell she's lost a lot of weight. When I mentioned Heero's name Relena completely closed herself up from me. "Oh," There was a pregnant pause. Noin almost forgot to tell him what Pagan said. "Pagan told me she's been having nightmares and they are getting worse. But other than that she's seems to be fine to me." "Alright then, call me when you find out where her last meeting is located. I want you to meet me there and I want to see her for myself. |

| Chapter 2: Relena Meets Dorothy |
| It was eight months after the last war, Representative Relena Peacecraft was walking down the corridor that led to the Colony Meeting Room. As she headed towards the door that led to the Colony Meeting Room she tried not the think about Heero. She resolutely thought about the up and coming meeting and put Heero at the back of her mind. Keeping the Colonies and Earth in peace and harmony should keep her mind full; but it was monotony, asking her sometimes the same question. Sometimes it was like reassuring a child that the parent wasn't leaving. She told them repeatedly she wasn't going to change her mind and leave them just to govern her kingdom and leave them to their own devices. Her mind drifted once again tot he unwanted subject of Heero. He was everywhere and nowhere. He invaded her dreams. Sometime he was in her arms. Other times he was pushing her back or pulling a gun out on her. She didn't need someone tell her, she found out sometime ago that Heero stop watching her. She didn't even know what he was doing. Once again Relena resolutely tried to suppress her thoughts concerning Heero as she neared the Colony Meeting Doors. "Ms. Relena please eat something." Relena smiled a little and looked at her long time friend and butler. The only one who haven't left her or wasn't left behind (like her school mate were) by the chaos of the war. The only mother she knew never talk to her. Milyardo was with and Noin. The friends she went to school with, Relena sighed and thought, she doesn't even know where they are anymore. Sometimes when her brother and his wife Noin come by I get the feeling they are checking on my state of mind instead of checking on me. It seems every since I've become Representative of the Earth and Coilonies, I've ceased being a person. I'm just a political station or a figure head to them. She reached for one of the slices of buttered toast and took a small bite off of it and said, "Thank you. Now I must go to the meeting. I'm running a little late." Then Relena walked through the meeting doors and called theh meeting to order. "How is Relena?" Noin asked as she walked up to the butler, watched the doors close behind Relena. "Mentally and physically she's alright. But emotionally she's a wreak.I don't know how she's lasted this long." said Relena's butler, Pagan. "What do you mean?" Noin aksed not quite sure she should try to help Relena herself or tell Zechs. "She barely eats enough to stay alive. She's having nightmares and all of them have THAT Gundam Pilot in it. I thought it would be best if he stopped watching her. Before I could talk to him, he stopped by himself. " The butler paused and said quietly, "Then the nightmares became worse and more frequent. She hasn't spoken his name since he woke up in her arms and left without saying a word to her. |
