I began dancing at the early age of 3. I started choreographing in 1992 as captain of my cheerleading unit at Frick Jr. High till 1994, under the guidance of Diane DeRuen.

I later took beginning and advanced dance at Oakland High School under the instruction of Charolette Ritter. While a student, I performed and choreographed several dances. This was the start of where I found myself at peace.

I continued my training at Laney Jr. College learning the Katherine Dunham technique of African Haitian under instructor Lynn Wethers- Coles; Jazz and Modern Dance under instructor Evelyn Thomas; And Ballet under the great Dr. Lynette De Fazio. In 1999 I trained with De Fazio's stretch n strength for dancers.

In the summer and fall of 1999 I choreographed my own dance routines for Malik's Enterprises.

In Spring 2003, as part of Laney's Dance Production team, I performed in and helped put on the Souls In Motion production for Laney College.

In the Fall of 2003 and 2004 I choreographed and starred as "Peaches" from Nina Simones, Four Women for the annual Kwanzaa celebration at Laney College. I also, performed in three Praise/ Modern and one Jazz choreographed dances for each year.

In 2004, I choreographed "Optimism" which was featured in Laney's Spring Dance production. This choreography (I Refuse) was chosen to reach out and cure the audience who experienced or knew of some who experienced physically, emotional and mentally abusive relationships.

Currently, I do various lyrical, interpret and improvisational dances for special events, wedding ceremonies, concerts and funerals. Continuously, I perform in, help choregraph and choreograph praise dance for my church Brookins AME and affiliated churches.
