This Soul

For Valerie

Fulfilling unborn ribald fantasies,
Holding steadfast,

Being shy -- oh, my!
Or being bookish
Just for a
Lick of the licorice,

Never letting the alienated
Feel unsatiated,
Making a kitten
Feel like a Vixen,

Thawing out the most
Misguided
And hearts hided,

Leaving behind shining baguettes
Of my heart and my mind
My love speakers,

From coast to coast,
From toast to toast,
Night to night,
And from Dear to Dear
Always being so cavalier,

Forever enlightening them
To the truth they
Furtively deny
Lives here in this soul.
