Macrame' Mice

For David, Catie, and Little Martin

Like lions on the prowl
Little Martin chases macrame' mice
As Mommy Catie cooks a towel
For his bath with butterflies
Before bedtime when raindrops
Bring dreams of droopy trees
And societies where they pull out all the stops
For cherry gum smiles taking wing in the breeze
Showing off their talent and beauty.
