The Hammer of Perseverance
Swings for the King of Carpenters
Renewing the glue of
Old wood, our bodies,
Replacing the dry rot and decay
With fresh cedar and new gray paint
(Not His first choice)
Rebuilding our souls with rejoice
In saving us from
the Saw of Sin.
