Strat-o-matic, Richard, Houston, Chicago, World Series, 4 - 1, Clemens, Oswalt, Thomas, Garcia, Bagwell, Kent, homerun, one hit shutout
1, 2, 3, Charge!
For Allan
Strat-o-matic, seeming serious,
Houston against Chicago
Game 1:
Game 2:
Game 3:
Game 4:
was aut-o-matic joy
for a young boy
playing Richard in the World Series.
Clemens’ pitching arm
was itching to disarm
Chicago’s score
just to be sure,
Oswalt followed through
in game two,
but lost, with great shame,
due to Buehrle fame,
Miller made the move,
got the team back in the groove,
driving home a win
of which Chicago could not know the kin,
Clemens came back in a flurry,
giving Garcia reason to worry,
and homeruns of Bagwell
is why Chicago fell,
And, with game 5 Pettitte had
help from Kent, glad
of a one-hit shutout,
making Houston the winner, no doubt.
Score: 4 - 1
