to the heavens a prayer is made

another shovel load across the gravel
thy infernal city of the grave
paves the way for life unmade


Alone in the crowd of lonesome dwellers
daydreaming desire
a flame without fire
naked in ice
burning from the cold
another aeon growing old


The treacherous waters hurl the ship to the shore
a lore born in the midst of a horn
a sign of things to come and things to pass

home at last
nuclear blast
creation collapsed into a fiery sea
