Newborns

Each newborn baby is a symbol of Love, it's true
Why only some have trouble, they don't have a clue
Prematurity has its' own problems for sure
But a full term baby is not a guaranteed cure

There are risk factors with any pregnancy
An unwelcomed caution for any parent-to-be
When a situation arises, you must deal
The possibility of danger sure is real

You could lose your baby or even your wife
It can come naturally or through C-section knife
A time to be happy, is quickly denied
It rips at the heart, and tears you up inside

Sometimes you feel cheated and that it is not fair
Your heart is heavy, a tough burden to bare
Take solice in the fact that you did all you could
That where you are, many parents have stood

Your baby will come home, it may take awhile
If you want to check on her, grab the phone and dial
Her health is important, in turn you will be happy
Once she is home, you will be a complete family.
