Too Innocent To Know

Only one person stood there
in the dark and silent cold
Shivering with haunted memories
of the young and the old.

A black scarf covered her face
as she blended into the night
Her tears streaked down her pale cheeks
as her feelings she tried to fight.

But in society there's a war
a war fighting innocence
But this young one never knew
of the hatred and the violence.

So all alone she stood there
while the world hurt her so
But this young one never knew
for she was too innocent to know.
