The river is churning Swollen above its banks The black waters threaten All in their path Poisonous Corrosive Diseased The waters of hate and rage Ever growing Swelling A crashing tumultous flood Flashing by, a boat Struggling To stay upright and afloat A look of anguish on the pilots face I recognize him It is me The waters churn and spin Hissing with glee The boat flips I see myself fall And drown in my own pain. |

Have you ever had one of those moments Where everything just clicked? When you just felt happy?
You know, one of those moments Those special ones A Kodak moment
I had one once, I think Everything in life was great Things were keen
But it had to end, as all such do The moment was shattered when I opened my eyes And screamed
The giant holding me looked down Turned and handed me to another Said "It's a boy..."
My hell began that day The happiness I knew before I existed I've never known again. |

The Heart of a Child (song lyrics) |
|
|
|
Left alone as a boy What was I to do? Don't you worry, baby sister I'll take care of you
Daddy's drunk and on the floor And mommy's all spun out The man of the house is two years old And wandering about
Why does daddy only snore And mommy only stare? Why do they ignore the lovley children? Why does no one care?
The little one cries at night Hungry as can be No one hears the little girl That is, no one else but me
With hands too small I tried so hard To feed that baby girl No one else I ever loved more In all the wide wide world .... |
