The Prodigal Sorcerers (PCs):

Christie Mallory, a Hermetic stage magician.  Has an evil cat familiar (Circe), a kuei-jin boyfriend (Takeshi), a screwed-up mentor (Saelic), and lots of secrets.  Played by Anne, who is an Akashic.

Jennifer Monroe-Kennedy, a Virtual Adept conspiracy theorist with a bizarre past.  A very good hacker and a very bad driver.  Hopelessly in love with her mentor, Gabriel, despite the fact that he is technically dead.  Played by Beth, who is a Virtual Adept with strong Marauder tendencies.

Michael Lyrnus, an ex-Iteration X member.  Enjoys tinkering with Amy (his killer robot) and trying to make a name for himself despite his ridiculously high Arcane rating.  Played by Andy, who is a Virtual Adept.

Ra Lei, a Japanese Akashic Brother.  Wants to protect Takahashi and take down the Technocracy, not necessarily in that order.  Played by Caly, who is a Cultist.

Ripple, a Cultist of Ecstasy hippie dancer.  Girlfriend of Marcus, student of Timber, and mother of Chance Marcus Larson.  Who knows how any of those will be used against her in the future.  Played by Rachel, who is the most innocent Cultist ever.

Takahashi, a nine-and-a-half-year-old Orphan.  Began life as a failed Technocratic experiment meant to be possessed by Alan Turing, but is now safe in a body all his own.  Played by Iain, who is a Cultist.

Tim, an incredibly cute and innocent eight-year-old Virtual Adept (what’s up with these child mages?).  Seems to be working for mysterious entities beyond our control or comprehension.  Yup, we’re all screwed.  Played by Sean, who is an Akashic.

Storyteller: Mike, who is a Hermetic barabbi.

Important NPCs:

Asmodeus, the uber-Nephandi and Lord of the Atrium.

Gabriel, one of the original Virtual Adepts to defect from the Technocracy.  Died in the process of killing his son, but lived on as a free-floating AI.  Now has a physical body once again, to the delight of Jennifer.

Julie Ann, a powerful Marauder.  Wears flowery dresses, speaks in a thick Southern accent, and flirts with men despite the fact that she is actually an enormous, hairy Russian man.

The Lord of the Necropolis, a creepy, mysterious, and generally evil figure.  Is not working for anyone but himself, although his magical style reveals that he was once a Hermetic.  Has somehow obtained “the metal” and uses it to avoid Paradox.

Marcus, an archmage and Chorist turned Nephandi turned Hermetic turned lich turned human again.  Obsessed with wreaking vengeance on Ahreen.  Ripple’s boyfriend.  Has the formula for the Philosopher’s Stone (which allows mages to avoid Paradox) engraved on his Avatar.  Provides lots of angst.

Saelic Maelikian, an extremely powerful Hermetic and “cryptic bastard.”  Christie’s mentor.  Owns a ginormous magic shop in Aminus and can hook you up with just about anything—for a price.  Dispenses much prophecy and foreshadowing.

Takeshi, Christie’s kuei-jin boyfriend from Japan.  Currently living at the chantry.

Timber, Ripple’s mentor.  Technically dead (he committed suicide after his work for the Fujito Corporation had aided the Nephandi) but was brought back to life by Saelic (Christie’s mentor), at the price of a few favors.

Fallen Comrades:

Bria May, a Hollow One street urchin.  Left the cabal after completing a lengthy search for the parents who abandoned her.  Played by Jenny, who is a Chorister.

Cameron “Saxon” Williams, a Verbena and the king of all the hoboes.  Decided he had nothing in common with the cabal and left to live with his friends the Crombeys.  Played by Iain, who is a Cultist.

Isabella, a Lasombra vampire who used to be a Celestial Chorist named Maria Montoya.  Chose to leave the cabal to pursue her own goals.  Played by Anne, who is an Akashic.

James, a seven-year-old Orphan.  Stayed at Horizon.  Played by Noel, who is an Akashic.

Dr. Kenley Chial, a mad biologist Son of Ether.  Left the cabal to raise a family with her mentor and husband, Dr. Joe Mau.  Played by Missy, who is an Etherite.

Kyler, an ex-Syndicate member.  Stayed at Horizon.  Played by Andy, who is a Virtual Adept.

Teal Williams, a Celestial Chorist.  Stayed at Horizon.  Played by Nikki, who is a Dreamspeaker.

Wan, a Chinese bureaucrat and Akashic Brother.  Has left the cabal proper because after obtaining some essential information from Lo Pan, he will now be working for said reformed Nephandi for a LONG time.  Played by Paul, who is an Akashic.
