Arie Madison (Curiosity), an illiterate Martyr raver who likes guns, women, and drugs. Works at a record store when he remembers to go in for his shift. Has an amazing tendency to do incredibly stupid things involving monsters and still somehow live through them. Pursuing Samantha. Aka “My Little White Boy.” Played by Ryan, who is an Avenger.
Charlotte Bishop (Seeker), a Visionary psychology professor at the U of M obsessed with finding a scientific explanation for the existence of monsters. Lost her left arm in battle with a vampire named Temple. Dating Charlie, to the disgust of the rest of the group, who thought she was crazy even before then. Aka “One-Armed Wonder.” Played by Beth, who is an Innocent.
Melba Starling (Ward), a Defender and reformed gangbanger slowly becoming respectable. Waits tables at a restaurant. As the only surviving “original” member of the group, wants to pass on the story of the guardians in the form of a “Hunter bible.” Dating Paladin. Aka “Ghetto Fabulous Melba.” Played by Nikki, who is a Defender.
Randy (Ender), a Redeemer who comes from an incredibly rich family, carries a crossbow in his pants, and has a vampire for a best friend. Literally wanders around looking for monsters due to having no sense of direction. Dating Leslie. Aka “Randy Moist-squid-leg-pants.” Played by Noel, who is a Judge.

Marta Calderón, an Innocent 15-year-old Mexican exhange student and occult scholar. Aka “Sailor Marta.” Met her Dark Fate by being fleshcrafted into a giant crab by Cameron and killed by her fellow hunters. Played by Beth, who is an Innocent.
Will Duane, a Judge plumber/electrician who loved constructing gadgets. Aka “Token White Guy.” Killed in battle with Cameron. Played by Noel, who is a Judge.
Important NPCs:
Charles Johnson, a werewolf and student at the U of M. Helped kill the werewolf in the alley after Melba befriended him. Is now an uneasy ally to the group.
Charlie Sorroro, a Toreador vampire who is an artist and actor. Randy’s best friend. Charlotte’s boyfriend. Hunted by Haji.
Chet Lyssis (PapaDuck), the Scorpio guardian of the house of passion. Saria’s boyfriend. Helped protect Marta, Melba, and Will after Saigow framed them for murder; is now being protected by the group.
The guardian babies, also known as Darla, Levi, Marta, Nathan, Travis, and William Hayzie. Six infants currently ranging in age from one to six months. Are apparently the reincarnations of the six guardians who were killed in Canada; the group is raising them in order to keep them out of the hands of the Technocracy.
Haji, Mr. Saigow’s vampire “nephew.” Thinks humanity is a bunch of weak-willed cattle and wants nothing more than to see them wiped out, especially Randy. Killing him is a top priority for Arie, despite the fact that the agreement makes it impossible for him to strike without provoking a war between vampires and hunters.
Jonas Winters (Blunt), a Visionary philosophy professor at the U of M. Charlotte’s mentor; it’s been speculated that he may be secretly in love with her.
Leslie Charleston (APlusPlus), an Innocent and overachieving psychology student at the U of M. Dating Randy.
Lisa (Teach), a Judge. Leads a rather militant group of hunters who meet on a city bus. Disliked by Charlotte due to the creepy comments she made about her missing arm, but admired by Arie because she gets things done.
Paladin Williams (FratBoy), a Defender and the superintendent of the rather unique apartment building where Chet, Saria, Melba, Randy, and Arie live. Abandoned the hunt after every other member of his old group died, but returned at Melba’s urging following the death of his pooka ward, Darla, at the hands of Cameron. Dating Melba.
Mr. Saigow, a powerful vampire. Framed Marta, Melba, and Will for murder for reasons that are still unclear but was eventually blackmailed into clearing their names. After several run-ins between his underlings and the group, negotiated a shaky and constantly endangered peace treaty with them.
Samantha, a Judge and student at the U of M. Has clashed with Lisa over the best way to deal with monsters. Being actively pursued by Arie as the result of a combination of hormones and a bet with Randy.
Saria Lyssis, the Virgo guardian of the house of order. Chet’s girlfriend. Helped protect Marta, Melba, and Will after Saigow framed them for murder; is now being protected by the group.
Twitcher, a Defender who appeared out of nowhere and now works at the front desk of the apartment building. Lives with Charlotte because she felt sorry for him. Has amazing powers of perception and a truly bizarre set of personality quirks, but demonstrates few other apparent skills.
