Would you miss me?

Would you miss me if I were gone?
If I left until the dark turns to dawn.
What if I had left for just a day or two?
Would that make you sad or blue?
What if I was gone for only a week?
Would in any way your life be a little bleak?
What if I had left for even a month or more?
Would you miss me even more then before?
What if I had passed on and gone to a better place?
Would you miss the way I put a smile on your face?
I have often wondered what it is about me you would miss?
My love? My touch? My laugh? Or even just my kiss?
Would you really miss me like lightning needs thunder?
Would you miss me at all? Maybe thats what I wonder.
