The Tide of My Heart by Nick E. Costantino On the sandy shore of an illusive dream, Lies touched by the glow of a silent moon beam. Waves of emotion unsettled but true, A tide of new hopes amongst shadows of blue. Pounding the shore with its fury and rage, Comes the first wave to set the vast stage. A wave of romance and passion roll in from the sea, Being released to the shore to be wild and free. Seeking renewal through actions' unplanned, It touches a timid heart etched in the sand. With sweeping desire it dissolves blinded sight, To reveal pure intentions once hided by night. The wave of love seems to be the one to follow, The strongest of the waves, always full, never hollow. It strikes with a force that engulfs most the shore, It keeps us wanting, needing and yearing for more. There are so many waves it's impossible to keep score, Romance, passion, love, anger, fear and a lot more. All of these waves play a very important and individual part, But it is together that they make up the tide of my heart. |
