My Friend

There is this woman you have just got to meet,
Everything about her is absolutely neat.
She has eyes that sparkle and a smile that shines,
She has a way about her that blows my mind.
Her beauty captivates me, it puts a spell over me,
And when I was with her there was no place I'd rather be.
She has style and class that I truly admire,
And to be with her is what I really desire.
So I sat here today to write about how I feel,
And to you this may not be a really big deal.
I use these simple words to try to explain her to you,
And help you understand why I feel so blue.
You see the feelings I have for her she doesn't have for me,
So I have got to move on and let things be as they be.
As time goes on my mind and heart will mend,
And one thing is for sure. She will always be a great friend.
