My Best Friend

People in your life they come and they go,
In and out of your life like the ebb and flow.
Some you take with a grain of sand and some you trust,
But to be called a true friend, honesty is a must.
But then there are ones that surpass all the rest,
Those are the ones you can count on the best.
But there is one thing for sure I know in my mind,
They are rare, few and trust me hard to find.
You are one of those people I look to day to day,
And without a doubt I know this is easy to say.
You are my best friend, one I can hold dear to my heart,
I truly hope nothing in our lives tears that apart.
In life we have no guarantees, that�s what life is about,
But you are my best friend without a shadow of a doubt!
