| The Doors were the most unique ensemble of musicians that emerged from the 1960's. Amid the melange of hippy/flower power and pop love songs (ie., The Beatles) emerged the dark, mysteriously hypnotic sounds created by Jim Morrison, Ray Manzarek, John Densmore, and Robby Krieger. Together they created the four points of the diamond, playing off of each other's creative prowess. While it may be argued that Robby Krieger was responsible for writing most of the songs, it was the strange, surrealistic poetry of Jim Morrison that really set the stage for what was to come... |
