A homeless, stocky female came along pushing a overstuffed, as she was, shopping cart. She stops and says to me, that she has candies, she will give me. She insists. At her delivery of same, I am aghast to see her naked from the waist down. She then goes to sit next to lady on bench, tweaking in conversation, from I assume a drug. I excuse myself, go across to street to Indio City Hall, and alert them, saying both police and paramedics should come. I then went a different route to the postoffice. I didnt hear any sirens, and on Saturaday, in a chance meeting with some ladies on the transit bus, they reported that the baglady had been arrested at a shopping center, with all her clothes off. She was to be sent to a mental health facility.
Earlier, on that same day, I had proposed to city hall, that they not destroy the Timberline cottages across from the library. But refurbish them, allowing residentials to stay, while they turned the site in to a village of artist studios as done in downtown San Antonio, Texas. I suggested they try to get state and federal funding for a possible historic project. I said, its being at the back of the Greyhound bus station would be perfect, and perhaps, Greyhound would feature it in a brochure. One resident has a flower pot porch garden, which is a Mexican Art form.
Were they mad at an alternative solution versus their scorch the earth policy?
Residents have complained to me, that the city hall new asphalt paving being done is unneccesary, considering all the streets in this area with extreme pothole problems.
It is this kind of bureacracy, that attracts terrorists.
Today, a Sunline bus driver told me last year, he called 911, when he saw a completely naked female walking downtown.
911 asked him to describe her. He said, "Why?, shes naked!"

P.S. INDIO, CA., MOTEL FROM HELL:11,12,03:
Last night, I attempted to stay in the Ruta Motel, on Indio Blvd., right next to the Motel 6.
Before, in a recent stay, they discriminated against me by placing me in room 11, which had a terrible tv, handprints all over the wall. Bedbugs as well. Plus putting me, 40 yards past their front units!, hurting my disabled knee.
Last night, I gave them a second chance, the mgr. assuring me, they would.
They charge $35.00 a night, no tax, and a $5.00 key deposit.
I left with a refund, FROM ROOM 17 (closer to the front). because of the below list.
BOTH THE CITY AND COUNTY COULD BE SUED FOR THESE CONDITIONS (AND ARE THESE INDIA IMMIGRANTS PAYING ANY TAXES WHATSOEVER FROM MOTEL OR THEIR CONVIENCE STORE?)
1. The bedspread was grimy as if never washed, what made me leave, is the fleas biting me!
2. The tv had very low sound, so struggling, I moved the bureau on which it sat, closer to the bed, discovering 3 huge dead cockroaches plus trash!
2. There was an electrical plug box near head of bed, low below bed level (for sadists?) WITHOUT PROPER COVER! GREAT WAY TO ELECTROCUTE A CHILD.
3. The smoke alarm is dismantled, its innards showing.

The kichen unit stove is dirty, mgr, later said, "It doesnt work."
5.
Edges of the kitchen area linoleum are filthy.
6. The Venetian blinds dont fuction, and are grimy.
7.
The ceiling light fixture shows filth inside next to the light bulb.
8.When I moved the bureau, a front drawer panel fell off.
9. Opening the bathroom door, is a wall with a large kicked? in hole, looks recently done.
10.
There is a possible fungus condition, at tbe bottom of the wall, inbetween bathroom door and kitchen.
11. All the walls are grimy.
12. There were nails protuding from the most of the walls.
Last night, I heard small children playing outside in the dark, wanna bet, this isnt a stopover for pedophiles.
This place should be razed to the ground or closed and competely rennovated.
I AM CONSIDERING LAWSUIT.
Oddly enough, the store appears clean, its prices reasonable. The mrg.s wife (he says) runs the motel, at their office rooms, two children, could be seen, living in slum conditions. The mgr. said he is not the owner.
