Innocent Lives
With all the wars and hatred
So many lives are lost.
Innocence being taken away
for whatever may be the cost.
These traggic deaths have taken
So many of our young.
The violence in our schools,
Killings, with weapons and guns.
Who has the right to take a life
so innocent and true.
Who has the right to destroy our faith
In folks like me and you.
We live our lives each single day
With goals we often set.
But life has no guarantee
that our goals will be truly met.
But to raise a child and see that child
To school each single day.
And to think we are doing our very best,
In helping them along their way.
We see our children growing up
as they give us pride and joy.
Not knowing that at any time,
We could lose our girl or boy.
But violence has become so bad
and has taken lives away.
From parents, friends and families,
who now unite to pray.
Where are our children safe.
Will there ever be such a place,
How many more do we have to lose,
How many more tragedies will we face.
Will there ever be an answer
to a problem so extreme.
Will a child who grows up violent,
Create another scene.
And those innocent who were taken
At such an early age.
Will be forever in our memories,
that cannot be erased
Let's pray for all our children
and for teachers everywhere
May God keep them all from harm,
And may He keep them in His Care.
dedicated to all the senseless killing in our schools today.
may we see a better tomorrow as we seek God in prayer!
