Harvest Time

Oh yes it is here now folks. Can't you just see it all around you as the farmers bring in the crops. Up here we have a place called Tanners orchards where you can go and take the kids and spend the day. Picking apples, just one to eat now or a whole bushel to take home and eat when you want. There is a place for kids to play and animals to feed. You can ride a hay rack out to where you pick the apples. It is a grand place to spend time and making memories with your grand children or any one young and old alike.
The best part comes when you take them home and your mom or grandma makes those apples into apple pie or apple butter and oh the aroma that fills the house. Hmmm good as you smell the sweet cinnamon and allspice as they bake together. Why you can just feel your mouth watering now. There is nothing better than a fresh baked hot apple pie right out of the oven.
Those are good memories alike for the young and the old. Yes there are plenty of good memories at harvest time but you know what I am reminded of another harvest time about now and that is the harvest of the souls. You know God's word says my house is full but the fields are empty who will go and work for me. The laborers are few but the reapers are many. There are souls ready for the harvest are we ready to help reap them? Go into the field my child and happy harvesting. God bless.
