Carry Me, Oh Lord
I cannot go another mile
for so much I have to bear
I keep stumbling and falling
And life does not seem fair.
I cannot take the pain, oh Lord
So sad my days have been.
How sad I feel as I cry each tear
my heart aching, deep within.
I cannot see tomorrow
for yesterday is full of pain
And I cannot see the sunshine
through all the pouring rain.
I cannot seem to sleep at night
As I toss the night away.
I cannot smile each morning
For my sorrows seem to stay.
I need you Lord, to carry me
through the storms that I must face
And walk with me, dear heavenly Lord
And let my life not waste.
I need you everyday, oh God
My life is in your hands
Please help me live my life for you
And help me understand.
I know I am so lost in sin
that I cannot see the way
Please forgive me, precious Savior.
And give to me a brand new day.
I know there will be storms again,
So please stay close by my side.
And lift me up into your arms,
So I may, in your love, abide.
I love you, Lord, for all you've done
For giving life to me.
And for giving me the choice, Oh God
to live with you for eternity.
