I wrote this in 1990 when I was having so much trouble with my teen girls and right before my depression hit.

This Too Shall Pass

Does your life seem so deep in despair? You feel so alone and as if God cannot be found anywhere. This too shall pass.
As surely as those long dark nights, you spent alone, did they not turn into dawn? The long cold rugged winter is followed by a fresh new crisp spring in all its beauty.
To remind us not to dwell on the cold empty winter days so glum and long. Press on to the beauty of the seasons to come, for you see this too shall pass.
what ever life sends your way try not to let it get you down. don't let that smile be replaced with a frown. This too shall pass.

Your children are growing up to be adults and you feel so alone and they don't understand you any more nor you them. You wonder who speaks a foreign language. This too shall pass.
Remember they won't be teenagers forever. They will go on to adulthood and even come back to you for advice someday. They may seem as if they don't need you now, but hold on for this too shall pass.
Your own personal walk with God seems to be so useless now. you don't know his will with your soul. This too shall pass.
Whether your in a valley, deep pit, or feel as God is burning your candle at both ends. reach out to him if only in sure obedience for he promises this too shall pass.

The beautiful leaves fall from the tree in the fall and it stands barren all winter long. It stands up under the pressure of snow, ice,and bitter cold. yet it doesn't give up and die for it knows, this too shall pass.

With the on coming of the new season that same tree stands tall and strong. with signs of new life on its branches in the new buds, to remind us life goes on. It stood up to the test of nature and its trials for it knew this too shall pass.
Like that tree our life here on earth is just passing time. So let us not grow weary of trials we face now, but let us look to things of eternal value for that's all that will last. Not things here on earth for this too shall pass.

so dear friends what ever your going through hang on and know God loves you and so do I.

Love,
Beth
