| In this stanza the speaker is forming a smile on his face by being oddly presented with this Raven. He doesn't know what to do so a smile grows on his face with disbelief. Also, he asks the Raven what his name is. To ask it, he says, "Tell me what thy lorly name is on the Night's Plutonian shore." The Raven, not at all worried about the question, answers "Nevermore." |
