Stanza 15
"Prophet!" said I, "thing of evil-prophet still, if bird or devil!- Whether Tempter sent, or whether tempest tossed thee here ashore, Desolate yet all undaunted, on this desert land enchanted- On this home by Horror haunted- tell me truly, I implore- Is there-is there balm in Gilead?-tell me- tell me, I implore!" Quoth the Raven, "Nevermore."

Description
The speaker in this stanza is asking the Raven if there if relief from pain to which the Raven responds "Nevermore," once more. The speaker is still not convinced whether the bird was sent here by the ruler of the underworld, Satan (or Tempter in this occasion), or whether the Raven was blown here by a tempest, or a strong storm.
